Rural Health Opportunity Program (RHOP)

If you are considering a health care career, look into the Rural Health Opportunities Program (RHOP) to help fund your education and guarantee a spot in the University of Nebraska Medical Center. RHOP is designed to address the needs of health care in rural Nebraska. Applicants must complete pre-professional studies and other prerequisites at either Chadron State College, Peru State College, the University of Nebraska at Kearney, or Wayne State College.
As high school seniors, students must first complete both the college application process and an application for the RHOP program. Applications must be received by November 1st. Selection is based on academic potential, residency in a rural Nebraska community and a commitment to practice in rural Nebraska.
