As we adjust to the "new normal", you might see changes in your family that are unwelcome. Stress can change sleep habits, eating routines, attitudes and gradually take a toll on your home's mental and physical health. You can do things to reverse the stress load.

Consider taking breaks. Play games or go for a drive. Allow family members space to relax and not feel the need to interact. Respect each others' space but learn to ask probing questions. Here are some questions to help put words to the feelings:

  • How are you taking care of yourself?
  • What is your biggest challenge right now?
  • What has helped you reduce your stress?
  • What is one way you can help support others dealing with stress?
  • What are three words to describe your current feelings?
  • Are you doing at least one thing today to meet your goals?
